We begin April with a major gear shift. The speed and intensity of this month will be high, one of the most fiery of 2026.
On April 1st, we have a full moon in Libra, opposite a pack of planets in Aries and square Jupiter. This lunation sparks a deep desire to take the first step forward, while simultaneously seeking balance and harmony. Unfortunately, that balance is unlikely to arrive this month. However, clarity on how and where to move forward will come through as the month progresses. The key to harnessing this energy is to start taking intuitive action, knowing that you’ll need extra patience to work through this period to get the full details.
Mid-month, we have a large parade of planets that will be moving through the sign of Aries and conjoining Saturn and Neptune. This gives us an unusually large number of planets in cardinal fire, and we are likely to “feel the burn.” On the one hand, it’s extremely motivating and helpful for starting new projects, having the courage to take on a new commitment, or conversely, ending something that is no longer working. On the other hand, this energy can lead to heightened irritation, impatience, and reactivity. You may want to schedule extra breaks throughout the day and time to recharge your batteries. Taking safe action and releasing excess physical energy will be helpful during this time.
On April 19th, the sun moves into Taurus, starting a slight shift away from the fire into more grounded earth. Just when we think things might start calming down, Venus moves into Gemini on April 24th, followed by Uranus on the 25th. This generates a major uptick in mental energy. Gemini and Aries are compatible air and fire energies that embolden each other: Gemini likes to rapid-fire ideas and thoughts, and Aries loves to take immediate action on them. There may be a desire to break from the norm and move toward a new type of independence.
Uranus seeks to free us and remove us from stagnation. Its previous placement in Taurus created a lot of resistance for the last 7 years. Uranus moving into Gemini will feel like a major release for many and one that generates new and exciting possibilities. Gemini and Aries favor experimentation and bold new risks, and are more inclined towards short-term endeavors. Ideas and actions taken during this period will have to be strength-tested over time.

Forecast for 2026: The Year Ahead
2026 is a year that will uplevel us, particularly in our inner world, in how we express ourselves, and in our courage to be our authentic selves. We have all of our outer and social planets moving into air and fire signs, making this a very action-oriented year. Above all, I think we’ll have a lot more clarity about the future, its possibilities, and how we fit into it.
This year’s transits in air and fire will speak very directly to us. When we are fully aligned, we will glide through the year at a quickened pace, exploring possibilities and opportunities that were previously unattainable. When we’re fragmented, unsure, or out of alignment, this energy can leave us feeling burned out, left behind, or living in a post-apocalyptic world. Trust the energy, how you feel, and embrace the courage to go your own way.
Looking back, 2025 was a year of endings, completion, and culminations. We were closing a major 14-year chapter of our lives, which began back in 2011. We’re now opening a new chapter at 0 degrees Aries, the very first sign and degree of the zodiac, marking a time of new beginnings and initiations. We’re starting from a blank slate and are emboldened to build anew from the ground up.
The energy of this year encourages us to do the following:
1. Let go of the past and embrace that one chapter of our lives is over, and a new one is beginning.
2. See things from a different perspective and explore new and unexpected opportunities. Especially the unusual and crazy ones. To quote one of my favorite teachers, Rick Levine, with regards to Uranus transits, “If nobody thinks you’re going crazy, then you probably are.”
3. Move into a space of greater authenticity. The hard work is often about choosing authenticity over status or how you appear in the eyes of others.
4. Embody the courage to begin again. 2026 is bolstered with Aries energy, followed by a boost of Leo energy mid-year – a huge blast of audacity and determination to start something new or to breathe fire into an old project in a new way.
